“Tayden’s Tots” Casserole


  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream (I forgot this)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey jack cheese blend (I used whatever cheese I had)
  • 1 package ranch dressing & seasoning mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon
  • 1/2 cup tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions


  1. Heat over to 350. Spray 13×9″ baking dish with cooking spray
  2. In nonstick skillet heat oil over medium heat. Cook onion in oil 3-5 minutes stirring occasionally until tender.
  3. In medium bowl stir onion condensed soup sour cream milk 1 cup of cheese 2 tablespoons of dressing mix and black pepper until mixed well.
  4. Stir in chicken.
  5. Place half the frozen potatoes in a single layer on bottom of baking dish.
  6. Spoon and spread chicken mixture on top.
  7. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of bacon on top.
  8. In large bag (I used the tater tot bag) add remaining potatoes with remaining dressing mix. Shake bag to coat.
  9. Arrange on top of casserole.
  10. Bake 40 minutes.
  11. Top casserole with remaining 1 cup cheese and 1/4 cup bacon.
  12. Bake 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and potatoes are lightly browned.
  13. Top with tomatoes and green onions.
  14. Enjoy a lil taste of heaven!
